About Me

THE GOLDEN OLDIES SINGER
I am a Golden Oldies Singer, born in Austria but based in the UK.
Performing as Tina Jay I love singing Golden Oldies from the 50s - 70s.
Covering the hits of artists like Elvis Presley, Little Richard, Frank Sinatra, Connie Francis, Doris Day, Neil Diamond, John Denver, ABBA or The Beatles I invite you to sing, clap, swing and sway with me - or simply lose yourself in those timeless tunes from yesteryear.
My performances are particularly suited to small – medium venues and events such as family celebrations, memorial services, drinks receptions, company celebrations or as a backdrop vocal entertainment for restaurant diners. I can also make someone's day extra-special with a singing telegram.
I sing regularly in residential and retirement settings, enjoying an hour of reminiscing and singalongs with residents, visitors (and frequently staff members!) alike.
In addition I am happy to adapt my set to accommodate special requests and songs from different genres. This includes songs in foreign languages. Besides speaking fluent English and German I am also happy to perform songs in any language provided enough notice is given. I am fully self-contained and can also provide amplification for larger venues.
Providing a memorable "retro" experience and "Swinging 60s" feel with everyone feeling inspired to sing along and having fun is my aim! "Oldies but Goodies" await you and a balanced mix of mellow songs and rock'n roll classics!

THE STEADY VOICE
I have used music / singing / listening to my favourite songs all my life - to make me feel better, inspire me, help me to BE someone I wasn't yet. No doubt so have you. And it does work, doesn't it? Your favourite songs can make you feel happier and stronger - almost invincible! - like nothing else can.
A few years ago I started composing my own uplifting songs - almost like jingles, they were short tunes that reflected my personal development journey and supported me finding my way in this fast-paced world.
However it wasn't until I started to work as a care home singer again in 2023 (I already performed back in 2012 then had a long gap) that I fully realised and appreciated the influence music has on mental wellbeing.
Every week I watch elderly residents light up in a multitude of ways on hearing their favourite tunes - and this gives me so much pleasure too.
I knew - partly due to my background in (hypno)- therapy - that music was a grossly under-used tool when it comes to increasing mental and emotional well-being. This led me to create a song library that I called The Steady Voice. I realised that I had an innate ability to listen to a song and its lyrics and just know that this track would fit someone who is looking for more self-confidence, joy and self-realisation.
As a woman, it is only too clear to me that many women struggle with being seen and accepting themselves for who they are. I did! I therefore decided to focus my song library on women who are ready to "shine their light".
Fast forward and The Steady Voice is now available - songs for women in midlife reinvention, coming out of a difficult relationship, experiencing health issues or a major career change. Songs to "hold and steady" you whilst you prepare to reclaim your voice and freedom.
