1. Hypnosis is a way of gently guiding you into a relaxed state that allows you to access your subconscious mind and to re-program your beliefs.
2. Structure: After an initial chat I will induce you into hypnosis – in other words you will go into a deeply relaxed yet fully alert awareness. We will then work on your issues and you will gain a completely new understanding which enables your transformation and ultimately update your belief system. You will then easily return to the Here & Now feeling refreshed.
3. Each hypnotic session lasts between 90 minutes to 2 hours. For that reason, I ask you block off 2 hours in your calendar to make sure you’re not rushed.
4. After the hypnosis session you will receive a personalised hypnotic recording to listen to daily for at least 21 days. This is a vital part of cementing in the "new you" and solidify the new neural pathways in your brain. It is based on the old but true saying "the mind learns by repetition". With your changed thoughts and beliefs, your behaviour and results will be transformed.
The experience feels different for different people but one aspect is always the same: You remain in full control throughout being in hypnosis, and do not get stuck - that is a myth. You can even get up and visit the bathroom should you wish to do so. At no point will you have to do something you do not want to. Please not that this type of hypnosis differs from stage hypnosis - it is therapeutic and healing in effect.
Some people feel a floating sensation, some do not. Others may feel sleepy, some do not. Most people feel relaxed and at ease. What’s most important is to know that how you feel isn’t an indicator of how effective it is.
Hypnosis is not magic - it’s science! It works by creating a burst of brain waves that are the same as when you’re in REM.
There are 5 brain wave frequencies (Beta, Alpha, Theta, Delta and Gamma). Theta waves are present during hypnosis, deep meditation and light sleep, including the all-important REM dream state. It is the realm of your subconscious. In hypnosis you are therefore able to access your subconscious mind which governs 90% of your thoughts and therefore our feelings, behaviours an actions! It is a powerful way of changing your thinking and lay new neural pathways that enable you to become a different person and overcome any issues that have been holding you back.
Hypnosis and Coaching is based on neuroplasticity - the ability of the brain to change = to lay new neural pathways, enabling you to solve problems and ultimately skyrocket your confidence in any area. "What wires together - fires together!"
Hypnosis is very easy and anyone can do it, you’ll see for yourself when you do it too!
Hypnosis works for everyone. It is a state for trance that we frequently assume without even noticing it. Have you ever driven to a destination and cannot remember large parts of getting there as you got lost in your thoughts? The hypnotic trance is a bit like that - with more focused, life-changing effects.
Don’t worry about how deep you get - I want you to forget all about that. It's really not important. The depth of trance is not linked to results at all. What is important is how suggestible you are. As we give ourselves suggestions - good and bad - every day, everyone can be hypnotised.
Even if you do not believe in hypnosis or maintain you cannot be hypnotised; all you need to do is enter the hypnosis session with an open mind, and you will be just fine.
